New To The Show? Start Here! FAQ!

Hello, Gentlemen! My name is Caleb Bacon and I’m a Los Angeles-based writer and host of weekly comedy podcast, The Gentlemen’s Club. This is a podcast where I have one-on-one interviews (most of the time) with people men find interesting. And if you’re not sure where to start…
- So who do men find interesting? Comedians, XXX pornstars, and media personalities (TV, radio, Internet.)
- What are the best pornstar episodes? I’m partial to both of Ashlynn Leigh’s episodes (#94 & #116). She’s a self-admitted “freak” and is really sweet at the same time. (And yes, she once lost a golfball up her butt.) More pornstar episodes are here.
- What are the best comedian episodes? Paul Scheer (#111), Steve Byrne (#123), and Paul Rust (#105). All of the comedian episodes are here.
- What are the best of the more serious interviews? Some of the interviews — while light-hearted — aren’t as LOL-able. Try: Shira Lazar (#115), Mike Schimdt (#101).
- Do you have a list of every episode so that I can pick for myself? Yup.
- Does iTunes like the show? They’ve named the show to the What’s Hot in Comedy list along with your Marons, Carollas, Pardos, Thorns, and Rogans of the world. (Scoreboard.)

*** Frequently Asked Questions ***
- Have you ever cornered Drew Brees and made him take a photo with you? Pretty much.
- How can I help the show? I don’t want your money but feel free to pimp out your favorite episodes. Tell your friends and tell your enemies! Or leave some positive feedback on iTunes.
- What are the most popular episodes? Pornstar episodes are just about twice as popular as all other episodes. Kayden Kross on Episode #71 has been downloaded more than any other episode.
- What’s the most common email you receive? “Do you have sex with the pornstars you interview?” Look, Gentlemen, I have morals and am a man of principle. So, of course, the answer is no. (That, and they’ve all turned me down!)
- Do you have a personal Twitter account too? Yes, I am @thecalebbacon. (It’s my stronger Twitter page.)
- Can I advertise on your show? Nope.
- Can I send you free stuff? Sure. Write me.
- How did the show start? In 2009, fellow LAist writer, Tim Hammer said “I’m thinking about starting a podcast.” I said, “I’m in.” (I’m not sure if he was asking me to start one with him but it’s seemed to work out.)
- What happened to original co-host Tim Hammer? He moved to Connecticut. His last episode was #50. We are still very much friends. In fact, I’m thinking about him right now.
- What’s the most popular episode with Tim Hammer? The time we ate KFC Doubledowns.
- Where did some of the old episodes go? They’re dead to you/me. (For reasons like: they no longer cut the mustard, or the audio quality’s not up to snuff.)
- Do you guest on other podcasts? Yes.
- Are there any Gentlemen’s Club videos? Yes.
- What’s the most polarizing episode? Scott Aukerman from Comedy Bang Bang. Scott was doing a bit the whole show and many people commented that he was being “a dick.” He was just goofin’.
- Who made the theme music? Paul Nolan from Liverpool, England. He’s amazing. He’s for hire.
- Who is that sexy female voice? Amanda Wallace (she’s very cute too.)
